Today I went to a friend’s house for a potluck birthday party. I forgot to make something until this morning so I threw together this cookie dough dip. It’s so easy to make quickly and fairly addicting. One of my friends said, “This is so good! I hate you!” Now that is a true compliment.
Start with the base:
Cream together:
- 1 8 oz package softened cream cheese
- 1/2 C softened butter
- 1/2 C powdered sugar
- 1/2 C brown sugar
- 1 t vanilla
Make sure this is really creamed together. If you beat it long enough, the brown sugar will dissolve and the base with have a smooth texture rather than a gritty one.
Now you can add whatever you want. I added:
- 1/2 C semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 C peanut-butter chips
- 1/2 C M&Ms
Just fold in your extras and spoon the dip into a serving bowl.
I sprinkled some more peanut butter and chocolate chips on top just to make it look prettier, as it really does just look like a big bowl of cookie dough. I served it with graham crackers and pretzel sticks, but it would also work well with fruit. Best of all, you can lick the bowl without worrying about raw eggs. Not that that’s ever stopped me…
