Canning scares me! ut because I like the idea of being domestic, and I like strawberry jam, I make strawberry freezer jam and store it in ball canning bottles, so it looks like I’m canning something. Win!

Slow Cooker French Toast
Last week, we were out of the house until 6 p.m., so I needed to make dinner in advance. Since pre-made french toast isn’t that appealing, I decided to try french toast in the slow cooker. I don’t think I’ll ever make it piece by piece for dinner again!!
Favorite BBQ chicken
I use this BBQ sauce for everything! It’s so much better than anything you can buy in a bottle and is pretty easy to put together. I’ve also bottled this sauce and given it away as gifts. It’s great to use on chicken, pork or even hamburgers!
Ham and Potato Casserole
This casserole is based on a potato side-dish we had many times growing up. We generally had it with ham… which is why I thought adding ham would make it a good main course.
Homemade Oreo Cookies
This is one of my favorite cookie recipes. It’s a recipe easy enough for my kids to help me with, and has a lot of childhood memories. Before my BFF and I could cook, we made these cookies all the time in my mom’s kitchen. Some batches turned out better than others… but we always had fun.
